Staff reports

The Iberville Sheriff's Office last week arrested an employee at Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women at St. Gabriel on a charge of malfeasance in office after a local grand jury indicted him on a charge of malfeasance in office, Chief of Operations Aubrey St. Angelo said.

Ronnie Guidry Jr., 35, of 23229 Nadler Street, Plaquemine, was arrested on the charge and bonded out the same day, records showed.

St. Angelo said the arrest warrant contained no other details of the case.

According to District Attorney Richard J. “Ricky” Ward Jr.'s office, the grand jury delayed consideration of a sexual battery charge against Roy Morales, 31, of 32075 La. 75.
