Highway dept. to close U.S. 190 lanes for work

The westbound lanes of U.S. 190 will be closed for the next two weekends while crews overlay the bridge deck of the Morganza Floodway Structure, the state Department of Transportation and Development advises.

The lanes will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. Friday (September 9) thru 5 a.m. Monday (September 12), and for the same hours Friday, September 17, through Monday September 19.

Westbound traffic will be detoured from U.S. 190 to La. 415 or to La. 77 to I-10 West to I-49 North.
