TUESDAY'S WEATHER IN IBERVILLE: September summer continues; relief on the way
Unseasonably warm temperatures and humid conditions prevail in Iberville Parish for Tuesday.
Daytime highs will climb into the lower 90s, with overnight lows only in the lower 70s.
Winds will be from the WSW at 8 mph, and will shift tonight to the ESE at 6 mph.
A 30 percent chance of late afternoon showers is in the forecast.
The chance of rain increases to 40 percent on Wednesday, with a projected daytime high in the upper 80s.
Rain chances remain in the forecast Thursday, but a cooling trend is expected for Friday.
Daytime highs will reach the mid 80s, while lows will dip into upper 50s amid mostly clear skies for high school football, including White Castle's homecoming game against Port Allen, Plaquemine's visit to Tara at Olympia Stadium and St. John's trip to Kentwood.
Game time temperatures for the 11 a.m. kickoff of LSU vs. Kentucky will be the mid to upper 60s after a morning low of 55. Sunny skies are expected, with a northerly wind of around 10 mph.
