Weekend weather in Iberville: GORGEOUS

Michael Jacobs

Whether your plans include Friday night football, the 43rd annual International Acadian Festival or just time at home, it’s shaping up to be a great weekend to enjoy the outdoors.

Clear skies, milder temperatures and no humidity combine for perfect autumn weather this weekend.

For today (Friday), expect daytime highs in the low to mid 80s with northeasterly winds at 6 mph.

For the St. John vs. White Castle at Rocky Ourso Stadium, game time temperatures will be in the lower 70s near game time and will dip into the mid to upper 50s by game’s end.

Clear skies will prevail throughout the weekend for the International Acadian Festival at the C.M. “Mike” Zito Center. Highs will be in the lower 80s Saturday, with temperatures falling into the mid to upper 50s by the end of the evening.

Skies will be crystal clear Sunday for the festival parade through the Garden District and Eden Street. Temperatures should be in the mid-60s by the 10:30 a.m. start.

Highs Sunday will reach the mid 80s with slightly higher humidity. For the festival wrap-up featuring Van Broussard, temperatures will be in the mid to upper 60s.

The next rainfall probability will be during the middle of next week, on the edge of a stronger cool front that could bring overnight lows into the 40s by the end of the week.
