Tuesday's Weather in Iberville: Sunny and warm

Warm weather and clear skies will remain in the forecast for Iberville Parish until Thursday, but temperatures turn much cooler for the weekend.

Highs today and Wednesday will reach the lower 80s, while overnight lows will dip into the mid to upper 50s. Temperatures should be pleasant and skies partly cloudy for the IPRD  “Boo on the Belleview” celebration, which begins at 5 p.m. at Belleview Park.

A 50 percent chance of rain enters the forecast lateThursday as the front approaches the area, as Plaquemine meets Belaire at Olympia Stadium and St. John travels to Edgard to face West St. John. Highs will be in the upper 70s, while overnight lows will be near 60.

The temperature won’t go much higher than the overnight low, as highs Friday will only reach the mid-60s. Game-time temperatures will be in the upper 50s or lower 60s for East Iberville’s home game against Ascension Catholic and White Castle’s visit to Ascension Christian. Temperatures may drop to the upper 40s by the end of the game, under northerly winds.

Skies will be clear Saturday with the high approaching 70. Overnight lows will drop into the lower 40s.

Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 60s for the 5:30 p.m. kickoff of Southern’s homecoming game against Alcorn State at A.W. Mumford Stadium. Temperatures will drop into the 50s by the game’s end.
