MONDAY FORECAST ... Clear and mild, but rain is coming

Christmas week begins with mild temperatures and clear skies, but rainy weather enters the picture Tuesday.

Expect partly cloudy skies and mild temperaures for Monday, with daytime highs near 70. Skies will become cloudy late this evening, with overnight lows in the mid 50s.

Tuesday brings a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms to Iberville Parish, with daytime highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid 50s.

Rain will end but cloudys will remain Wednesday, along with slightly cooler temperatures. Day time highs will reach the mid 60s, while lows will dip to thbe mid 50s.

A 70 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms highlight Thursday, with highs in the upper 60s and lows in the lower 50s. 

Showers will linger through Christmas weekend. Highs Friday will be in the lower 60s, with overnight lows in the mid 40s.

Christmas Eve will brings highs around 60. For the Christmas Eve church services and midngiht Mass at St. John the Evangelist, expect temperatures in the low to mid 40s.

Expect a wet rather than white Chrsitmas. Rain stays in the forecast. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s, with lows in the mid 30s. 

Sunny skies return for Monday, with highs in the mid 50s and lows near freezing.
