FRIDAY FORECAST … 2012 ends with mild, sunny weather
After awakening to dense fog this Friday morning and an overnight low of 46 degrees, expect a mild, sunny day.
Fog will break by mid morning and will make way for partly cloudy skies.
Highs today will reach the low to mid 70s, while overnight lows will dip just below 50.
The chance of rain is only 10 percent.
Partly cloudy skies will remain in the forecast New Year’s Eave, with highs near 70 and a low around 55.
A dry cold front will move through the area for the first day of 2012, with highs in the mid to upper 60s and lows near 40.
Colder temperatures will prevail the first full week of 2012. Daytime highs Monday will reach the mid 50s, with an overnight low around 30.
Highs will only reach the lower 50s on Tuesday, and could plunge below 30 Tuesday night.
A slight warming trend starts around mid-week, with highs in the upper 50s on Wednesday and lows in the 40s.
The mercury will inch above 60 on Thursday, with lows in the 40s.
No rain is expected during the week.
Some showers could be in the forecast for the end of next week. Highs will be in the lower 60s and lows in the mid to upper 40s.
