Maringouin to hold MLK celebration Jan. 14

An annual Martin Luther King Celebration will be held in Maringouin Jan. 14, beginning with a march at 10:30 a.m.

The march will run from Landry Street to Bayou Maringouin.

An 11 a.m. program will be held to salute Martin Luther King at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Center. The Honorable Judge John Guidry will be the Speaker of the Day.

The event is sponsored by the Knights and Ladies of St. Peter Claver Council and Court 119.

Refreshments will be served and the public is invited.
