Funeral services set for longtime local priest Rev. Jerome Dugas

Funeral services will be held Wednesday for longtime Plaquemine priest Rev. Jerome Dugas, who died Saturday. He was 76.

Dugas served as pastor of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church from 1985 his retiremenent approximately 16 years after battling the effects of Parkinson's Disease.

Dugas also served as a regular columnist for the Post/South.

Visiting will be at St. John the Ecvangelist Catholic Church from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.. Wednesday. Bishop Robert W. Meunch will preside at the funeral Mass.
