MONDAY WEATHER ... Pleasant day, seasonal temperatures

We begin the post-Super Bowl Week with beautiful weather and seasonal temperatures.

After a damp, gloomy weekend, a ridge of high pressure has brought beautiful weather following a front that brought temperatures back to normal for this time of year.

Expect a daytime high at a comfortable 65, while overnight lows will drop to the mid 40s. Chance of rain is 20 percent.

Temperatures will trickle higher tomorrow, with highs in the upper 60s and lows in the upper 40s. Only a slight chance of rain is in the forecast.

Another cold front will push through the area Wednesday, but no rain is expected. Highs will reach the mid 60s and lows will drop into the mid 40s.

Highs Thursday will barely eclipse 60. Lows will hover around 40.

Chance of rain is 10 percent.

A beautiful weekend is in store for the early Mardi Gras parades in the area, including the 50th Annual Addis VFD Ladies Auxiliary Parade on Sunday.

Highs Saturday will only reach the upper 50s, with lows will drop to 40. Skies will be clear, with only a scant possiblity of rain.

Highs will reach the lower 60s Sunday, with lows in the mid 40s.

Rain returns to the forecast for the Mardi Gras holiday. Highs will reach the lower 70s, but a 60 percent rain chance is expected for Lundy Gras and Mardi Gras.
