Addis firemen’s parade set for Feb. 12

Addis Volunteer Fire Department’s 50th annual Parade will run Sunday, Feb. 12, beginning at 11 a.m.

The royal court for the parade will be presented Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Addis Community Center, beginning at 6 p.m. They will ride on the royal float in the annual parade. Following presentation of the court an annual Mardi Gras Ball will be held. Luv Sexy Band will perform and the ball will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. Call Mikey Fouquier at 405-1700 or Todd Berthelot at 413-3456 for ticket information.

The king and queen will be announced at the ball by 2011 king and queen Trey Goodwin and Mona Patterson.

Senior Dukes will be Ben Avants and Raymond Mitchell, while Senior Maids will be Madelyn Barbier and Lauren LeBlanc. Junior Dukes are Drew Hebert and Jackson Dupont, while Junior Maids are Madison Morales and Kynleigh Avants. Royal Pages are Lane Manno and Alyssa Slayton.
