Memorial service this Friday for Deidre Cruse

A Memorial Service for the late Deidre Cruse, longtime governmental reporter for the POST SOUTH newspaper will be held this coming Friday, March 9, at the First United Methodist Church, 23645 Church Street, in Plaquemine. It is set to begin at 11 am. Pastor Kemper Smith will conduct the service, which will include time for us to share some of our memories of Dee.

Cruse’s family members are coming down from Winnsboro for the service.

After the testimonies there will be fellowship and a potluck dinner at the church hall.

A private memorial service was held this past Wednesday in Winnsboro. Dee’s body was cremated, in accordance with her wishes, and her ashes have been interred in Old Winnsboro Cemetery.
