FORECAST: Rainy conditions persist through midday Thursday

Rainy conditions continue through much of Thursday as a slow moving low pressure system pushes through the area.

A 70 percent chance of rain is expected for tonight. Some of those storms could be heavy.

Overnight lows will be somewhat cooler, dropping into the mid  to upper 50s. Winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 mph.

Storms will continue through at least mid-day Thursday, with rain chances at 60 percent.

Highs will reach the mid 70s under NNE winds at 6 mph.

Winds will shift to the east as the front moves out the area in the early afternoon hours. Skies will clear and rain chances will diminish.

The decreased rain chances will continue throughout the weekend.

Clear, sunny skies are expected though the middle of next week, with highs in the low to mid 80s. Lows will range from the mid-50s
