ONLY ONLINE: Tour du Teche Featured in Filming for Go Coast: Louisiana
Bayou Teche, La. ñ Tour du Teche has been chosen for inclusion in a
series of television programs, called ìGo Coast: Louisiana,î that
highlight coastal Louisiana parishes. Filming for the Iberia parish
portion will take place on Bayou Teche throughout Iberia parish from
9:30 to 11 a.m. on Friday, April 13.
We will end filming with personal interviews from racers at New
Iberia City Park.
Host/Producer Tom Gregory is an Emmy-award winning host and
producer. He is known for productions ìOutside the Huddle,î ìGlory
Days,î The Hornets Coaches Report,î ìLSUís Tiger Tracks,î ìCSTís
Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo Wrap Up,î ìVanishing Coast, Vanishing
Safety,î and ìRenewing New Orleans: Keeping Americaís Beat,î just to
name a few. Executive producers Ron Yager and Jim Dotson have also
produced award-winning programs.
Go Coast USA will air on WLAE-TV in New Orleans and state-wide via
the Louisiana Public Broadcasting system. In addition, Go Coast USA
will be offered to PBS stations throughout the U.S. There are more
than 300 PBS stations nationwide that can air this program, which is
available free, over-the-air, as well as on cable and satellite
television. Go Coast: Louisiana will also be available on-demand
through its PBS Limelight content delivery network. This world-wide
internet distribution service will allow viewers anywhere in the
world to view every episode in HD. The program will also air on
commercial broadcast station WVUE-TV Fox 8 in New Orleans. Go Coast:
Louisiana has also been offered to a regional sports cable network
covering Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi,
Oklahoma and Virginia.
Go Coast: Louisiana will tell the story of coastal Louisiana and the
thousands of reasons for visitors to come and stay awhile. The
monthly, half-hour, television program will highlight the Louisiana
Gulf Coast and the people who live, work and play in the sportsmanís
paradise. The Go Coast: Louisiana crew will travel the highways and
waterways of Louisiana to find the best local food and fun guided by
locals. Go Coast: Louisiana will entertain and educate its viewers
about the industries that are vital to Americaís economy and will
feature people and places that make each parish special.
Viewers will get to know the restauranteurs, the fishing guides, and
entertainers that call the coast home. Each program will spotlight
the parishes of Cameron, Iberia, Jefferson, Lafourche, Plaquemines,
St. Bernard, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Terrebonne and Vermillion.
