Power cut to Plaquemine overnight Thursday for repairs

The city of Plaquemine will be without power overnight Thursday due to repairs made by Entergy, city spokesperson Ellie Hebert said.

Power will be cut on Thursday, August 4 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday, August 5 to repair a switch on a Entergy substation that feeds all of Plaquemine.

“This is NOT a City of Plaquemine Utilities outage.  This is an Entergy outage,” the city said in a statement on Wednesday warning of the outage.  Emergency calls can still be made to 911.
