Iberville Parish Library hosts Acadian ArtShow

The Iberville Parish Library presented its 46th annual Acadian ArtShow at the Plaquemine Branch library during the month of October.
The event is held in conjunction with the International Acadian Festival and displayed oil paintings, drawings and watercolors by professional and non-professional artists from South Louisiana. The event also featured a Young Artist category for artists under 16 years of age.
All artwork featured is completely original. The library hosted a reception Sunday, October 16 from 2 - 3 p.m. and presented awards to artists in each category.
Miss Evangeline Victoria Savoy presented the awards and the Plaquemine Service League served refreshments. A cash prize made available by a donation from Syngenta in St. Gabriel was given to grand prize winners and gift certificates were given to second and third place winners, funded by a donation from the Friends of the Iberville Public Libraries.
