Anne Reeves sworn in to District 5 vacancy

Anne M. Reeves, wife of newly elected Plaquemine Mayor “Ed” Reeves, was recently sworn in to fill the vacancy left in the District 5 Parish Council seat.

The seat became vacant when former Councilman “Ed” Reeves was sworn in to service as Plaquemine Mayor.

“It was an honor and a privilege to be named to the District 5 Council seat,” Anne said.  “I will work diligently for the people of this district until the special election of October 2017.”

Anne and her husband have been District 5 residents for 30 years.
