The St. John Interparochial School gym was buzzing and popping with hands-on science on Saturday, January 21 as the school held its annual Science Explosion, and more than 100 kids came out to participate.

The Science Explosion featured demonstrations from LSU's Chem Team, and many students volunteered to get shocked, freeze flowers, and test flammable gases along with the presenters.  Afterwards, students were able to go to various stations set up around the gym and explore scientific properties, participate in more demonstrations with the LSU Chem team, and build their own unique structures with tools from St. John's Makerspace, a popular enrichment class offered at school.
