Plaquemine Parade Princess Miss Demani A. Washington

Officials with the Plaquemine Mardi Gras Parade recently announced the 2017 Princess and Prince.

2017 Plaquemine Parade Princess is Miss Demani A.  Washington.  Demani is the two-year-old daughter of Latoya Davis and Demand Washington.  She is the granddaughter of Liesha Davis, Alfred Nicholas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Baunchand.

Demani enjoys singing, dancing, being outside and playing with her Paw-Paw.  Demani will reign after 2016 Plaquemine Mardi Gras Parade Princess Miss Arianna Collins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore (Erica) collins.

2017 Plaquemine Parade Prince is Mr. Caden Jamori Dorsey.  Caden is the two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher (Kimberly) Dorsey.  He attends Toddlers College Learning Center.  Caden is the second Prince to be a part of the Plaquemine Parade.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Claudine) Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Joseph and Mr. Edwin Dorsey and the late Mrs. Joyce Dorsey.  He is the great grandson of Mrs. Ruth White and the late Floyd Hawkins.  He is very friendly, handsome, playful and loves to dance.

The Plaquemine Mardi Gras Parade will roll Saturday, February 25 at 2 p.m.  The parade is sponsored by City Selectman Jimmie Randle.
