IPSO receives identity of human remains found in Rosedale
On the evening of October 31, 2016 Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office Detectives responded to a call that human remains were found on the bayou bank in a wooded area in Rosedale. The LSU Faces Lab was called and Dr. Ginesse Listi and Teresa Wilson responded to the scene to excavate and collect the remains.
The Faces Lab then sent bone samples from the remains to the DNA Dept. at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab. A DNA profile was able to be obtained and uploaded into CODIS. On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, Myles Robichaux from the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab contacted the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office to inform detectives they there was a match.
The remains have been identified as Charles Hills, Jr., DOB: 12/24/1966, of 5714 St. Katherine St. in Baton Rouge.
