WestSide Farmer’s Market is hosting its Grand Opening on Saturday, April 8 2017 at Plaquemine City Hall/Iberville Parish Courthouse in Plaquemine.  The event will be held every Saturday during the months of April, May and June.

Market hours are from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. and the Grand Opening features a signature cocktail made specifically for Plaquemine.

Spring Fest will also kick off on April 8 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Parish Courthouse parking lot and will feature breakfast with the Easter Bunny, the Iberville Backs the Blue 5K/Walk, a Facebook scavenger hunt, Belle Beauty Pageant, Chili Cook-off, cake walk, cupcake decorating, games and much more.

The weekend is chock-full of events and will also feature the annual Art on the Avenue.  This event highlights local artists with live music provided by Triple D’s Jam Session.  Art vendors will display their talents and the event will feature a silent auction to support the area art council.  Chicken dinners will be available for purchase.

The WestSide Farmer’s Market highlights special events each weekend of the month.  These include: Kid’s Day, Zydeco Day, Art Day and Health Awareness Day.

“We are all so excited about our new farmer’s market in Plaquemine,” Rhonda Harrell of We Are the Difference said.  “Please come out and support your local farmer’s market.  This is a great addition to the west side!”
