Once again, the culinary team from East Iberville School ranked in the top ten in culinary at the ProStart Invitational. On March 28, East Iberville culinary students traveled to New Orleans to compete for scholarships and cash prizes.  Twenty-eight schools participated in this event.

A new component was added to the invitational this year in that booths were set up by dozens of colleges and universities offering valuable information about their programs.  This opened the door for all students in the program to attend the conference and tour all the schools to get an insight on what career programs were offered. Guest speakers at the event included famous chefs such as John Besh and Leah “Dookie” Chase.
