DOTD announces east bound I-10 closure

A week after the west bound lane was closed, the DOTD announced the closure of the east bound lane.

UPDATE: Planned construction back on schedule for Friday, May 12 - Monday, May 15

According to a Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development release, beginning Friday, May 12 at 6:30 p.m. through Monday, May 15 at 6:30 a.m., the east bound right lane will be closed from the Atchafalaya Bridge to the Mississippi River Bridge, necessary for asphalt rehabilitation.

Permit load restrictions will be up to 16 feet wide, anything over and drivers are asked to contact the permit office.
