Iberville School District hosts Summer Enrichment programs

A slew of Summer Enrichment programs are currently happening in Iberville Parish. MSA West in Plaquemine and MSA East in St. Gabriel are each hosting Iberville students for various student-based programs and activities.
These programs have been happening since June 5 and will end on June 29 and they service 821 parish students. MSA West currently hosts 641 students while MSA East hosts 180.
Some of the program include: Super Why, a program for Pre-K students, a grades K-2 Literacy Camp, grades 3rd-8th Academic Enrichment courses that are are 21st century-based and End-Of-Course exams.
Other student activities being offered are ELA, STEM, Math classes, Nutrition Education, Recreation/Sports, Technology, Arts, Music, and Theater, according to Iberville School District spokesperson La’Tonja Butler.
“We are happy to offer an opportunity for our students to extend learning into the month of June,” Superintendent Arthur Joffrion said. “We used a variety of federal funds and grant dollars to invest in providing an innovative, invigorating and inspiring program for more students than ever before.”
