Iberville Parish 4-Hers are headed to Camp Grant Walker in Pollock, La., this week for the annual 4-H summer camp.

This year's theme, Catch Their Dream of Summer Fun, includes a variety of fun, educational activities such as Science, Engineering & Technology, Outdoor Adventures, Hunter Safety, Louisiana Wetlands, Water Safety, Food & Fitness and General Arts, and recreational activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, performing arts, archery and numerous sports.

“Each day offers something new to excite, engage and encourage personal growth in our campers,” said AgCenter Camp Director Christine Bergeron. “Campers really unplug for a week, so they develop social skills, gain confidence and self-esteem, learn to depend on each other and actually spend time playing outdoors."

The five day, four-night camp was divided among 64 parishes over a 10-week period. This week attending the camp is Iberville, Richland, Bossier, Natchitoches, Winn, St. Mary, Beauregard, Morehouse and Allen Parishes.
