The City of Plaquemine recently joined forces with St. Joseph Baptist Church and Care South Medical and Dental to hold a Back to School Adventure.

The event was held August 6 at Care South’s office where some 209 kids received free health, vision and dental screenings, a haircut, free school supplies and lunch.

City officials, including Selectmen Jimmie Randle and Oscar Mellion helped serve 300 bowls of jambalaya and 200 hotdogs.  Shown are photos from the event.
