St. John announces Advisory Board appointments, officers and Executive Committee members

St. John Interparochial School announced the appointment Vic Blanchard and Chris Reeves to its Advisory Board, as well new officers and Executive Committee members for 2017-2018.

Blanchard is a 1984 graduate of St. John High School.  He is married to Jenee’ Lejeune Blanchard and they have two children who currently attend St. John – Adam, who is a junior, and Katie, who is a freshman.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry at Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge) in 1989, followed by a Master of Science degree in Wildlife Management from LSU in 1991.  Blanchard spent five years working with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries as a wildlife biologist prior to working in the private sector.

Since 1996, he has been employed by A. Wilbert’s Sons, LLC as Land Manager/Forestry and Wildlife Manager, where he is responsible for managing 100,000 acres of timberland, leasing properties for multiple objectives, wetland mitigation banking, and land acquisitions and disposals.  He is a past president of the Louisiana Landowners Association and currently serves on over ten statewide and local boards, commissions, task forces, and associations.  Additionally, he is the current vice president of the St. John Fathers Club.

Reeves is a 2004 graduate of St. John High School. He is married to Kari Trahan Reeves, a St. John alumna, and they have a two-year old-son, Jaxon. Reeves earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Nuclear Power Engineering from Louisiana State University. He worked in the chemical industry for three years before joining Edward Jones in 2013 as a financial advisor. He became an accredited asset management specialist in 2015, and currently manages $55 million in assets. In March, he passed the Board of Standards to become a certified financial planner and is expected to finish his Masters of Science in Finance in 2018.

Reeves is also a founding partner of Bultra Properties, which recently developed a shopping center in Brusly. Additionally, he serves on the board for West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce and sits on the Economic Development Committee for that parish.

Danny Cedotal will leave the Advisory Board after six years of service and the expiration of his term. Board members Paige Hargrove, who is beginning her second year as vice chairperson, and Addie Loupe will join the Executive Committee. Advisory Board Chairperson Beth Bueche will also begin her second year in her leadership role.
