Top Iberville Baseball Standouts

Andrew Green
Brandon Noel of SJHS

Summer ball is rolling, and the senior baseball standouts have received their caps and gowns.  We’ve compiled a list of some of the best baseball standouts representing all areas of Iberville Parish.  Some have graduated, and others will return to the field next year to improve on their skills.

Brandon Noel – Recently graduated St. John senior, Brandon Noel was named to 8-1A All-District first team as a pitcher.  He was also named to the All-Metro team and finished the season with a 7-2 record and 1.39 ERA and .353 batting average.

Joe Keller – Graduated from Plaquemine High with high honors for baseball as Keller was named to the 6-4A All-District team and was also named to the All-Metro team for PHS.  Keller had a .389 batting average and hit three homeruns and 33 RBIs.

Devin Washington – Devin was named as pitcher for the 6-4A All-District team for the 2015 season.  Though he wasn’t named to the All-Metro team, his arm bought him a recently signed scholarship to continue his play at Grambling.

DJ Pearce – Representing White Castle High, DJ Pearce has been an outstanding leader for the young Bulldog team.  Though they didn’t find much success on the field, DJ was as solid as a rock for the squad and hopes to help improve the Bulldog team next season.  He was named to utility for the 8-1A All-District first team.

Blake Barbay and Izack Bailey– Representing the east side of Iberville Parish are Blake Barbay and Izack Bailey.  Barbay is a standout at second and Izack dominant at the mound.  They have spent the summer on the field in the Metro Summer League.  Blake Barbay and Izack Bailey were both named to the 8-1A All-District team.
