Todd Harris

Todd Harris – Free safety for the Plaquemine Green Devils, Todd Harris has drawn a lot of attention from major SEC schools, including LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee.  Oh and did I mention that he’s only a junior?  Harris is all speed and covers the open field like a hawk.  Look for him to improve even more and draw more eyes his way.

Dontrell Taylor – Taylor had a breakout year last year as a junior where he rushed for over 200 yards and a handful of touchdowns on only six carries.  Insane, right?  Well look for him to get even more big gains as the White Castle Bulldogs change key positions on offense.

Austin Mitchell – Senior quarterback who has big shoes to fill after D’Morea Wicks was lost to PHS due to graduation.  Mitchell was a stellar running back for the Green Devils last year, and has been working on his throwing arm to take the helm as the team leader on offense.  He will find success by utilizing his mobility along with his strong throwing arm to help lead the Devils to another successful playoff run.

Gavin Landry – Another running back makes our list this time representing St. John High School.  Landry is not only a talented running back, but a fast player on defense.  Entering his senior year, Landry naturally donned the position of a leader.  Look for him to continue his junior successes in his final year at SJHS.

Wayne Toussant – The youngest player to make our list.  As a freshman, Toussant turned heads and he had several long scoring runs, most of them averaging over 50-yard scores.  Head coach Paul Distefano decided to utilize Toussant more on defense as well as he will assist Harris as a cornerback.  This. Kid. Is. Fast.  Keep an eye out or you might just miss him
