Top fall activities in Iberville Parish

Acadian Festival – A time-honored tradition held every October in Iberville Parish.  With rides, live music and delicious food galore, attendees gather at the Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront Park every fall to celebrate the crowning of Miss Evangeline and enjoy the clear and comfortable weather.

Swamp Life Expo – Another tradition held in Iberville Parish, the Swamp Life Expo is a one-day event traditionally held at the Vistor’s Center in Grosse Tete just off the I-10 exit.  This event takes place in October and highlights life in the swamp for many event goers.  There are booths, games and lots of food and live music.

Picnicking – Another great activity that you and your family can partake in without having to wait for a certain day is going on a picnic.  There are several great parks in Iberville Parish to spread out a blanket and enjoy some fun in the fall weather with your little ones.

Riding your bike – You may have seen our local list of top places to ride bikes in Iberville Parish, but we are including that activity as one the best to do in autumn.  The weather is not too hot, and not yet cold.  We witness plenty of days of clear skies and cool weather that provide the perfect opportunity to hit the road.

Football games – The famous Friday night lights.  We find ourselves amidst the fall-season sport once again, and if you have nothing better to do on a Friday night, why not catch one of your local high school football teams hammer it out on the gridiron?
