Plaquemine Police Department, U.S. Marshals arrest suspects in deadly shooting

A U.S. Marshals task force picked up the second -- and they believe final -- suspect Tuesday morning in a shooting in Plaquemine early last Saturday that left one man dead.
According to Plaquemine Police Department's Chief Kenny Payne, the shooting happened around 2 a.m. last weekend on High School Street.
He said the incident was the result of a fight that began in a local bar during which Bradford Louis was killed by a gunshot wound after he was transported to a local hospital.
Arrested Saturday on one count of being a principal to second degree murder, Payne said, was Jerry Henderson, 24, 24625 Hebert St., Plaquemine.
The man arrested in New Roads is thesuspected shooter, the police chief said.
Dexter Renard Young, 26, 58146 Barrow St., Plaquemine, was charged with a single count of second degree murder.
After his arrest in Pointe Coupee Parish, he was booked into that parish's detention center around noon and transported to Plaquemine for questioning that afternoon.
