Vera “Polly” Schexnaildre Dupuy

Vera “Polly” Schexnaildre Dupuy passed away peacefully on Feb. 10 at the age of 94.

Dupuy was born in Plaquemine to the late Elizabeth Gallagher Schexnaildre and John B. Schexnaildre on Feb. 22, 1916 and lived in Metairie for the past 63 years.

Funeral Mass was held Saturday, Feb. 12 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine with interment at Grace Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Dupuy, and 10 siblings. She is survived by her children, Alton J. Dupuy, (Pat), Brenda A. Dupuy, and Edmund K. Dupuy (Lynne); grandchildren, Bonnie D. Arnouville (Willie), Terry D. Eggleston (Tommy), Brad J. Dupuy, and Heather D. Faircloth (Mike); great-grandchildren, Eric Arnouville, Thomas Eggleston, Brennan J. McHughes, and Gabriel Faircloth; a sister, Ruth S. Clement, and a sister-in-law Herd Schexnaildre.
