A resident and native of Plaquemine, Patrick Brown passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at his residence. He was 85 and a US Navy Veteran. He was a retired Chief of Weights and Standards for the State of Louisiana DOTD. Visitation will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by Rev. Cleo Milano. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Florette "Flo" Fillastre Brown; two sons, Patrick A. Brown, Jr. and wife Janis and Quintin M. Brown; one sister, Malvina "Tidda" Brown Roberts and husband Floyd; one brother, J.C. Brown, Jr.; four grandchildren Derek P. Brown and wife Angie, Quintin "Matt" Brown and wife Brandy, Priscilla M. Brown and Clayton J. Brown and wife Jessica; seven great-grandchildren Braiden P., Kaylee, Màkayla, Matisyn, Brooklyn, Phoenix and Alina Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Malvina Jumonville Brown; father, J.C. Brown, Sr. and sister in law, Carol Brown. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son and friend who loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a life long member of the American Legion, Plaquemine.
