Patrick Brown

A resident and native of Plaquemine, Patrick Brown passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at his residence. He was 85 and a US Navy Veteran. He was a retired Chief of Weights and Standards for the State of Louisiana DOTD. Visitation will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by Rev. Cleo Milano. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Florette "Flo" Fillastre Brown; two sons, Patrick A. Brown, Jr. and wife Janis and Quintin M. Brown; one sister, Malvina "Tidda" Brown Roberts and husband Floyd; one brother, J.C. Brown, Jr.; four grandchildren Derek P. Brown and wife Angie, Quintin "Matt" Brown and wife Brandy, Priscilla M. Brown and Clayton J. Brown and wife Jessica; seven great-grandchildren Braiden P., Kaylee, Màkayla, Matisyn, Brooklyn, Phoenix and Alina Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Malvina Jumonville Brown; father, J.C. Brown, Sr. and sister in law, Carol Brown. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son and friend who loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a life long member of the American Legion, Plaquemine. Special thanks to Dr. Wharton, Dr. Deumite, John and Michael Barbee and staff at Comfort Care Hospice and Feliciana Home Health for all of their loving care and devotion. Also special thanks to Father Cleo Milano and Deacon Alfred Ricard for their visits and his devoted niece Carol Ann Hissong for her faithful devotion.
