Kissner, Nicholas James

Nick, a unique and vibrant young man, tragically lost his life by drowning on July 30, 2013 at the age of 14. His death, cutting short a life just beginning to realize its great potential for future accomplishments, leaves his family and friends mourning a loss of a wonderful young man. He is survived by his father and mother John Quincy Kissner Jr. and Elena Tsypouchkina Kissner. He also leaves behind his loving brothers John Quincy Kissner III, and Paul Earl Kissner and his wife Amy Slothower Kissner; Grandparents Cathrine Sumrall Kissner, and Nina Vasilievna Tsypouchkina; his Uncle Lee Ernest Kissner; Aunts Cathrine Ann Kissner, and Daphne Dileo Kissner; cousins Emily Catherine Kissner, Elizabeth Claire Kissner, Mary Grace Kissner, Margaret Ann Kissner, and Lee Ernest Kissner Jr. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Quincy Kissner Sr., and Lev Nikolaevich Tsypouchkin. He had a deep-felt love for all animals, including several pets with which he had an unmistakable bond. His favorite cat, Bluey, was very aloof, distinctly not accepting attention from anyone else, except Nick. He also loved the company of his cocker spaniel, Suzie, who slept in his bed every night, he often complained of her snoring. He mastered a proficiency of TurboCAD independently and experimented with design, illustrating his interest in computers. An astute memory gave him the capability to retain information on an impressive scale, especially concerning his hobby of Science Fiction. He worked at the store operated by his father and mother, John and Elena Kissner jr., and was an irreplaceable part of the business and its future plans. Being a member of University Baptist Church enriched his life and guided him on his journey to becoming a man.
