WCHS standout Skylar O'Bear named to LSWA 1A All-State first team; other Iberville athletes given Honorable Mention

The Louisiana Sports Writer’s Association released their picks for the 1A All-State Prep Basketball teams, and White Castle standout Skylar O’Bear was named to the first team.

            Given the successful season the White Castle Lady Bulldogs and Skylar O’Bear have had, it comes with no surprise that she was named to first team for All-State.  Her counterpart, Shylar O’Bear was also named as an Honorable Mention for the 1A All-State team.  White Castle wasn’t the only Iberville girl’s team to have an Honorable Mention.  Senior Jasmine Mosby of East Iberville High School joins Shylar on the HM list.

            Iberville also had a few boy’s named to the All-State Honorable Mention as well.  Senior Quantae Johnson of East Iberville High had a banner year for the Tigers, and led the team in scoring.  He was named an HM.  White Castle’s big man in the middle, JaTyre Carter was named HM as well, for the Bulldog team, and led the team in scoring and rebounds for the season.
