Local ladies named to District 6-1A softball team

A handful of ladies representing St. John School and White Castle High School were recently named to the District 6-1A first and second teams.

For first team, St. John Lady Eagle senior Kyndal Guillory was named pitcher.  Senior Payton Passantino was named as first team catcher, Kaylee Sadden was place at third base and Alise Wille was named to short stop.

Representing St. John in first team outfield are Monica Rivet and Samantha Landry.

For All-District 6-1A second team, Monica Rivet was named pitcher and Grace Acosta was placed at first base.  Taylor Vince was placed in the outfield for second team along with White Castle Lady Bulldog Tyshai Rome.  Lady Bulldog Jakayla Washington was named to utility for second team and Lady Eagle Kynlee LeBlanc was named honorable mention.

6-1A All District MVP was Raeshaun Malancon of Ascension Catholic and Coach of the Year was Brandi Manry also of Ascension Catholic.
