Tigers drop one, win one

East Iberville Tigers began their district play on a two-game winning streak which came to an end by the hands of district rival Southern Lab last week, after the Kittens handed the Tigers a 52-73 loss.

The Tigers, lead by all-district standout Sam Brimmer, followed up their loss with a home-court victory over district rival Ascension Christian, 71-52.  The Tigers sport a 3-1 district record and will host Kentwood and White Castle this week.

EIHS improved to the number 12 spot on the weekly LHSAA 1A power rankings, just behind North Central.
