The East Iberville Tigers just wrapped up one of their most successful regular season in recent years with a pair of wins, over over rival Ascension Christian, 68-51, and over Kentwood, 75-55.

Both games were on the road, and EIHS closed out the regular season with a final road game against parish rival White Castle to tie for second in 6-1A, but came up just short 61-73.

First year head coach Jason Marks and his young Tiger squad completely turned the ball program around this year after ending with an overall 16-16 record and going 8-4 in district play.  The team won just seven games all of last season.

EIHS finished in third overall in 6-1A behind Southern Lab at 12-0 and parish rival White Castle at 10-2.

The Tigers earned the 14th overall seed in the 1A LHSAA playoff bracket and will host 19-seeded Delta Charter Saturday, Feb. 25.
