Iberville athletes named to 6-1A All District Team

A slew of Iberville athletes in District 6-1A were named to the All-District boys hoops team roster which lists East Iberville Tiger Lyndell Joseph as Defensive Player of the Year.
White Castle Bulldog senior Ja’Tyre Carter was named to the 6-1A first team and averaged 15 points and 13 rebounds per game in the 2017 season. Joining Carter on first team is EIHS Tiger Ty Darville, who averaged 11 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals per game.
Listed to the second team were Bulldog Tre Melancon (10 points, four rebounds), St. John Eagle Adam Blanchard (17 points), Bulldog Tamarcus Fair (10 points, four rebounds) and Bulldog Princeton Young (10 points, six rebounds).
Southern Lab coach Devan Clark was named Coach of the Year and EIHS Tiger Lyndell Joseph was named Defensive Player of the Year. The full roster follows:
