Saints draft Vaccaro in first round

NEW YORK - The New Orleans Saints selected safety Kenny Vaccaro with their first round draft pick at No. 15 overall.
An All-American at the University of Texas and top-rated defensive back in the NFL Draft, Vaccaro became the first safety to be selected by the Saints in the first round in franchise history.
The Brownwood, Texas native registered 264 tackles (162 solo), two sacks for minus 16 yards, 16 stops for losses of 59 yards, five interceptions for 19 yards, 21 pass deflections, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two blocked kicks in his career.
The Saints also drafted Arkansas-Pine Bluff offensive lineman Terron Armstead and Georgia defensive tackle John Jenkins in the third round, Oklahoma wide receiver Kenny Stills in the fifth round and Tarleton St defensive end Rufus Johnson in the sixth round.
