Green Devils' Godchaux to announce college choice Aug. 23

PLAQUEMINE - Plaquemine Senior High School four-star strongside defensive end Davon Godchaux announced to media outlets that he has moved his announcement date up to Aug. 23.

Godchaux, 6-4, 265, announced he would make his college choice on Dec. 28 earlier this summer. However, multiple media reported him committing to LSU on July 17, which he refuted.

Godchaux told media outlets that the change was because he wanted to announce prior to his Green Devil senior season.

With scholarship offers from nearly 30 schools, Godchaux will choose between the likes of Alabama, LSU, Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, UCLA and USC.

Godchaux's intentions continue to be enrolling early in school and still plans to do so in January.
