ATLANTA − Ole Miss football senior linebacker Troy Brown was ejected late in the second quarter of the Rebels' game against Georgia Tech for targeting.

The linebacker, a fifth-year senior transfer from Central Michigan, was disqualified after a long completion to Yellow Jackets receiver Malachi Carter. The referees reviewed and confirmed the call after deciding Brown led with his head or shoulder to initiate contact with the receiver's head.

Brown made three tackles in the first half and was the Rebels' second-leading tackler through two games with 16. He will not be suspended for the first half of next week's game because the targeting penalty occurred in the first half Saturday.
