The Appalachian State football team faces the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in a Sun Belt Conference game on Friday, Dec. 4. 

UL defeated App. State 24-21. 

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, ranked No. 21 in the Amway Coaches Poll, improve to 9-1 overall and 7-1 in the Sun Belt. Appalachian State went to 7-3 overall and 5-2 in the Sun Belt

Louisiana quarterback Levi Lewis intentionally ran into the end zone for a safety with 1:46 left in the fourth quarter against Appalachian State. It cut the UL lead to 24-21.

Appalachian State safety after bad snap to UL punter

Louisiana long snapper Paul Boudreaux sent the snap over the head of UL punter Rhys Byrns with 6:36 left in the fourth quarter. Byrns kicked the ball out of the back of the end zone, and it resulted in a safety for Appalachian State that cut the Louisiana lead to 24-19.

Trey Ragas touchdown run

Louisiana running back Trey Ragas went 17 yards up the middle for a touchdown with 7:52 left in the third quarter. Levi Lewis ran the ball in for the two-point conversion that put UL up 17-10. 

Chauncey Manac interception

UL linebacker Chauncey Manac picked off a pass by Appalachian State quarterback Zac Thomas with 3:31 left in the second quarter. Manac gave UL possession at its own 45-yard line. 

Levi Lewis 16-yard run sets up UL touchdown

Lousiana quarterback Levi Lewis ran 16 yards for a first down at the App. State 9-yard line with 7:44 left in the second quarter. UL scored two plays later.

Nate Noel 33-yard touchdown run

Appalachian State running back Nate Noel went 33 yards for a touchdown with 6:50 left in the first quarter. It put App. State up 7-0 against UL.

Snap over UL punter Rhys Byrns

Before the first punt of the game, Louisiana long snapper Paul Boudreaux sent the snap over UL punter Rhys Byrns. Appalachian State recovered the ball, and a personal foul on the play gave App. State possession at its own 35-yard line with 10:24 left in the first quarter.
