Chris Lanaux filling in for Gerald Broussard on Ragin' Cajuns football radio broadcast

Chris Lanaux will join Jay Walker on the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football radio broadcast to start the 2021 season.
Lanaux is filling in for Gerald Broussard, who has been part of the Louisiana broadcasts since 2012. Broussard is out until sometime in October, according to Brian Bille, general manager of Ragin' Cajuns Sports Properties.
"Gerald Broussard had a procedure done a few weeks ago," Walker said on "The Great S.C.O.T.T. Show" on Tuesday. "The plan is for him to be back with us in October."
Louisiana opens the season against the Texas Longhorns on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. CT.
Lanaux played defensive line for Louisiana from 2005-09. He is originally from Metairie, Louisiana.
Lanaux is set to fill in for Broussard for the Texas game and the Nicholls State game on Sept. 11. Bille said that analysts will rotate for subsequent games until Broussard returns.
Broussard played for Louisiana from 1979-83. He then served on the Ragin' Cajuns football coaching staff from 1984-98 and 2008-10.
