Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns basketball gets commitment from Chancellor White, a Texas high school guard
The UL basketball team picked up a commitment from Class of 2022 combo guard Chancellor White.
The 6-foot-6, 180-pound White plays at Foster High in Richmond, Texas, near Houston.
He’s ranked by 247Sports as the No. 56 shooting guard nationally and No. 33 recruit in Texas.
White averaged 8.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.7 steals last season.
He announced his decision on Twitter, becoming Marlin’s first known 2022 commit.
Colorado, Houston, Rice, Louisiana Tech, East Carolina, Old Dominion, Oral Roberts and Sam Houston also made offers, according to 247Sports.
The three-time all-district pick visited UL in July and again this month. White also visited Texas A&M, Rice, Louisiana Tech and East Carolina. He decommitted from East Carolina in June, according to 247.
White can make his UL pledge official when the early NCAA signing period opens Nov. 10.
