Tennessee basketball will see a familiar face early in its 2021-22 season.

The Vols welcome ETSU, led by former Tennessee assistant Desmond Oliver in his first season as coach, on Nov. 14.  It's the second game in a nonconference slate — revealed in full on Thursday — that boasts seven home games at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The Vols open the season on Nov. 9 against UT Martin.

Tennessee plays two neutral site games at the Hall of Fame Tipoff Tournament from Nov. 20-21, where it will face Villanova and either North Carolina or Purdue. The Vols return home to host Tennessee Tech on Nov. 26 and Presbyterian on Nov. 30.

Other home games include UNC Greensboro (Dec. 11), an unannounced opponent (Dec. 14) and Arizona (Dec. 22).

Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes directs his team during the first half of an NCAA college basketball game against Kentucky, Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in Lexington, Ky.

Tennessee travels to Colorado on Dec. 4 and to Texas for the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on Jan. 29.

The Vols will also play neutral site games against Texas Tech on Dec. 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York for the Jimmy V. Classic and against Memphis on Dec. 22 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

SEC play begins on Dec. 29 with that schedule revealed at a later date.
