Four-star, top-100 guard, Destiny Salary signs with Tennessee Lady Vols
The Tennessee women's basketball team announced the signing of guard Destiny Salary from Jonesboro (Arkansas) High on Wednesday night.
The four-star guard joins fellow guard Tess Darby of Greenfield (Tennessee) High as members of the Lady Vols' 2020 signing class.
The 6-foot Salary is rated as the No. 59 overall player and No. 17 guard in the nation in the espnW HoopGurlz rankings. She chose Tennessee over Western Kentucky, Missouri, TCU and Rutgers.
"Destiny is an athletic and high-energy guard," Lady Vols coach Kellie Harper said in a school release. "She is aggressive getting to the basket and defending the ball. Destiny has a magnetic personality that will be great for our team and Tennessee fans."
Salary officially visited Tennessee from Oct. 10-12
Darby is listed as a three-star by espnW HoopGurlz and the No. 29 guard in the nation.
"Tess is a skilled and competitive wing," Harper said. "She is a terrific shooter and has a high basketball IQ. As a native Tennessean, Tess has a great appreciation of what it means to be part of our university and the Lady Vol program."
The early signing period lasts until Nov. 20. The Lady Vols can also add to the class starting April 15.
