Cancun Challenge, featuring Tennessee Lady Vols, moved to Florida

The 2020 Cancun Challenge, featuring the Tennessee women's basketball team, will now take place in Melbourne, Florida.

The coronavirus pandemic forced tournament organizers to move the event to the United States, switching from the original location of Cancun, Mexico.

It will now be called the Space Coast Challenge and will be held at Eastern Florida State College from Nov. 22-29.

The Lady Vols are listed as one of nine teams in the women's field on the Cancun Challenge website.

Other teams listed are Florida State, Houston, Iowa, Northeastern, Purdue, Toledo, Southern Cal and Virginia Commonwealth.

The tournament also has a men's field.
