We got spirit: St. John selected 2013 Overall Champions at camps

St. John the Evangelist High School's cheerleading squad attended UCA camp at McNeese University in Lake Charles recently. The 2013-14 St. John squad includes from left top, Madison Robichaux, Cori Granier, Calyx Verret, Emily Miller, Gabby Landry, Alex Carbo, Breanna Thibodeaux, Casey Curry, Madison Schneblen. Middle, Maddison Pitre, Alex Rome, Zoe Ordoyne, Gracie Trahan, Hannah Alexander, Blanche Gallagher. Bottom, Victoria Weaver (co-captain), Alana Blanchard (captain), Megan Bourgeois (lieutenant).

St. John the Evangelist High School's cheerleading squad attended UCA camp at McNeese University in Lake Charles recently. The girls were awarded 2013 Overall Camp Champions winning 1st in every category which includes: Home Pom Champs, Extreme Routine Champs, Game Day Champs, Sideline Champs and the 2013 UCA Leadership Award (voted by other cheer squads who attended camp). They received blue superior ribbons and spirit stick everyday. Jump-Off winners: Zoe Ordoyne (9th and below division), Calyx Verret (9th and above). St. Jude Pin it Forward Award: Victoria Weaver and Calyx Verret. America Winners (chosen and invited to perform in London): Alana Blanchard, Victoria Weaver, Megan Bourgeois, Alex Carbo, and Calyx Verret.

St. John’s 7th and 8th grade cheerleading squad attended SCA camp at LSU in Baton Rouge recently where they won Grand Champions trophy for both Home Cheer and Home Dance. At camp they received blue superior ribbons and spirit stick everyday. Samantha Fleniken was the Tumble-Off and Jump-Off winner. All-America Winners (chosen and invited to perform in the Capital One Bowl Half Time Show) Samantha Fleniken, Carolyne Glaser, Sarah Caballero, and Devin Durand. 

St. John’s 5th and 6th grade cheerleading squad attended SCA camp at LSU in Baton Rouge recently where they won 1st place on their Home Cheer (Cheer 101 Champs 2013) , The Award of Excellence 1st runner up was given for a cheer they learned at camp, Safety Award 2013, and Overall Camp Champions in 2013. They received blue superior ribbons and the spirit stick everyday. Tumble-Off Winner: Dannie Clare Durand. All-America Winners (chosen and invited to perform in the Capital One Bowl Half Time Show): Madison Young, Katelyn Sibley, Hallie Rivet, and Dannie Clare Durand.
