Here are the top Acadiana football recruits in the class of 2022

National Signing Day is over for the Class of 2021. Now, let's take a look at the next one's up. Here are the top junior in the Class of 2022.

Already committed 

St. Thomas More's Walker Howard and Acadiana's Laterrance Welch are both already committed to LSU. 

Howard, who committed to LSU in the summer before he even had started a high school game, threw for 3,430 yards and 39 touchdowns  and led St. Thomas More to its second straight Division II State Championship.

Welch, the No. 1 cornerback in the state, announced his decision last month, 13 days after receiving his offer. He missed most of the season with an injury, but returned in the playoffs to help Acadiana win its second straight Class 5A State Championship.

Walter Bob Jr., Welch's teammate at Acadiana, is committed to Alabama. He has also received offers recently from Penn State, Florida, Marshal and UL.

Jordan Allen

Jordan Allen, a four-star defensive back at Lafayette Christian Academy, has over 30 offers, and counting. Michigan, Miami, Penn State, USC, Virginia and Kansas are among the schools vying for his commitment. 

Brylan Green 

Like Allen, Brylan Green has been stacking up offers since his performance in the Division III State Championship in December. Green, a three-star cornerback, has offers from Auburn, Kansas, Colorado, UL and Tulane.

Maxie Baudoin IV

Maxie Baudoin IV might not be ranked on 247Sports, but he has plenty of top schools calling. The Ascension Episcopal defensive tackle has offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, and Indiana, among many others. 

Fitzgerald West Jr.

Fitzgerald West Jr., the No. 2 defensive tackle in the state, has received nine offers so far. Harvard, Dartmouth, Columbia, Colorado, Tulane and LA Tech are all on the list for this Lafayette Christian Academy junior.

Danny Lewis Jr.

Interest in Danny Lewis Jr. has been picking up in the past week, getting offers from Liberty, Cincinnati and Marshall. The Westgate tight end also has offers from Memphis, UL and Southern Mississippi. 

Drailun Anthony

Drailun Anthony of Acadiana only has one offer from Penn State, but more will surely follow. Anthony can play multiple positions, including running back, safety and cornerback.
